"I can see them. But I've named them all the same name,
and there's terrible confusion."
BUFFY REWATCH - one gifset per episode
└2.14 - Innocence
I know I’ve told this story before, but my abusive ex refused to let me take birth control. I was on the pill until he found them in my purse.
I went to the Student Health Center—they were completely unhelpful, choosing to lecture me about the importance of safe sex (recommending condoms) instead of actually listening to my problem.
Then I went to Planned Parenthood. The Nurse Practitioner took one look at my fading bruises and stopped the exam. She called in the doctor. The doctor came in and simply asked me: “Are you ready to leave him?” When I denied that I was being abused, she didn’t argue with me. She just asked me what I needed. I said I need a birth control method that my boyfriend couldn’t detect. She recommended a few options and we decided on Depo.
When I told her that my boyfriend read my emails and listened to my phone messages and was known to follow me, she suggested to do the Depo injections at off hours when the clinic was normally closed. She made a note in my chart and instructed the front desk never to leave messages for me—instead, she programmed her personal cell phone number into my phone under the name “Nora”. She told me she would call me to schedule my appointments; she wouldn’t leave a message, but I should call her back when I was able to.
And that was it. No judgment. No lecture. She walked me to the door and told me to call her day or night if I needed anything. That she lived 5 blocks from campus and would come get me. That I wasn’t alone. That she just wanted me to be safe.
I never called her to come to my rescue. But I have no doubt that she would have come if I had called. She kept me on Depo for a year, giving me those monthly injections in secret, helping me prevent a desperately unwanted pregnancy.
I cannot thank Planned Parenthood enough for the work they do."
But they totally cover up abuse, right antichoicers? :P

it feels so weird that doctor who is back on and i’m actually not watching it
season 7 was just so terrible that I can’t bring myself to watch my favorite show get ruined any further
Well I mean… This doctor (12) actually feels like the doctor, the show actually feels like Doctor Who again
Because… Fuck I just totally abandoned ship because moffat’s ruined my favorite show for me.
But I trust your judgement
I’m of the same opinion!
Matt wasn’t the problem, it was Moffat’s shit writing full of plot holes and predictability. season 5-7 were painfully predictable and obvious and the plot holes made it worse.
I think Moffat is better with writing an episode, but he lacks the vision for a good full season.
I agree, Moffat was much better when Daveis was there overseeing him and that the overall quality has gone downhill - where it used to be ‘average-to-good with some awesome episodes’ it’s now ‘average-to-bad with some amazing episodes’.
That said, aside from a few episodes such as Blink and the ‘Library Episodes’, I’m actually not a fan of Moffat on the whole and think that he’s not doing a good job with Sherlock either. He completely ruined Irene Adler and Moriarty and hasn’t been doing a great job with anyone else. But I digress…
On a more positive note, Capaldi has been amazing so far.
I still cry from this.
Donna became my favorite companion, she was positively irritating at first but her character development was pristine.
Such a tragic ending to her adventures. I like to think one day she remembered.
Donna was, and is, amazing and is my favorite as well - although I really hate the way she was completely written out of the series (the way I understand it if she sees anything that reminds her of the Doctor she will burn-up, I’m failing to see a way to bring her back barring a plot-level intervention - not that I would have any issues with that mind you and I would love to see her teamed up with Capaldi).
